Big Move Coming Up...

It's Saturday night and we still aren't finished packing. I suppose that is my fault, as I have no energy and am sick to my stomach most of the day. We are close, though, and don't get the truck until 11 tomorrow, so there is still time.

So here is our schedule, for those interested:

Sunday -- Moving truck at 11, pack it up all day (with help).

Monday-- Drive to Mesa. It will take all day since I will need to stop for breaks fairly often. Straight through it's about 7 and a half hours, probably a bit longer on Monday. We are staying at a La Quinta Inn for the night, yay for free breakfast!

Tuesday -- Appointment to sign the lease at 9am. Gast gets turned on 1-3pm. The rest of the day we will be moving things in, and returning the truck in the evening in Mesa...somewhere. I don't know where. A couple of friends of our are helping unpack everything in the afternoon.

I don't know when we will have stable internet again, but there is a public computer in the main office at our apartments. Dan and I will probably at least check email every once in a while until we get it all set up at our place.

Oh! After some massive confusion with one of the midwives, we now have an appointment on Thursday (7/3). I will try to update on how that goes. The other is still on Tueday 7/8.

Wish us luck! Hopefully everything can get done in the morning...

Big Surprise!!!

We just found out a little over a week ago that we are going to have a baby!!! While it is a big surprise, we are more excited than can be put into words. We are creating this website to keep everyone updated on things that are happening, pictures that have been taken, and just general information about what we are doing.

Kara hasn't gotten to go see a doctor or midwife as of yet, but she has a couple of appointments after we move to Mesa, AZ in about a week. If the estimated dates are correct, the baby is at about 6 weeks as of last Friday and is due somewhere around February 13/14, 2009. She is meeting with a midwife on 7/8, and possibly a few other people that week to decide who we want to go with for this special time.

We will try to post updates as things happen out here. In the mean time, feel free to pass this site around to anyone who might be interested (family, friends, etc.)
